In Australia nothing is paid out until we get advise from the employees lawyers. Is this the same for NZ?

 

Also, when anything gets paid out it is not taxed and not recorded on the Payment Summary. Is this the same for NZ- no tax?

 

Answer:

 

Yes you wait for the instructions to be provided from the executor of the estate.

 

No you still have to tax them as normal (In NZ we are taxed from the cradle to the grave).  There is no special tax rate to use.
