If you want to be part of setting the direction of NZPPA and give back to the payroll profession there are opportunities for you to work on the management committees of NZPPA in a range of areas.
Being a committee member allows you to gain accreditation towards being an Associate Member of NZPPA (2 years’ involvement with NZPPA activities).
Your commitment depends on which committee you want to be part of and the time you have available. At the very least, you are looking at committee meetings being held at least four times a year (three via conference call if committee members are geographically spread and one at the NZPPA conference).
Committee Membership Guidelines
- Only current NZPPA members can be a NZPPA committee member.
- NZPPA members can be on any number of committees if they wish but can only be the chairperson of one committee at one time, except for the CEO of NZPPA (if required).
- Committee membership is for a period of 12 months and, from 2009, if there are more places than nominations, elections will be conducted.
- In order to serve on the executive committee, members must have chaired or served on any of the other committees.
