What the “Employee Leave” special event will cover?

For payroll employee leave is one of the most complex areas. The Holidays Act 2003 has not helped being a piece of legislation that does not fit well with payroll as it has multiple calculations, for multiple situations and with multiple interpretations.

Presently employers face major issues in regard to risk in how their payroll system calculates or does not calculate leave correctly. Unions and MBIE are now actively challenging employers and payroll providers they believe are not calculating leave correctly.

So the main aim of this special event on Employee Leave is to raise awareness of the issues and to get Payroll Practitioners to be more proactive in, ensuring they are compliant in regard to current legislation to minimise the risk to their business while also ensuring employees are paid correctly for the leave they are taking.

Sessions during this event will be short sharp topics mixed with case studies and some extended in-depth sessions.
