One of the aims of the NZPPA is to conduct research and analysis into payroll-related issues.

The main areas we would like to investigate are:

• Remuneration for payroll professionals
• Payroll practice and processes
• Legislation (present and potential)
• Payroll technology

Every month we want to question our Members on issues that are affecting them. All research will be available for Members’ use.

Current research being conducted:

• What should payroll professionals be called and what are they being paid? (Complete this questionnaire yourself)
• What are the generic duties/tasks that a payroll professional undertakes (job description)? (Complete this questionnaire yourself)

Results will be reported in March 2008.
