WORKSHOP ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Prerequisite: After 12 months in a full-time payroll position (must have completed: Payroll Foundation Skills, Payroll Law and Payroll Calculations or can show extensive practical payroll experience)

DURATION

• 2 days (In-person, at the arranged venue)
• Running from 9 am to 5 pm on both days.

COURSE CONTENT

NZPPA Payroll Masterclass Workshop is based on the NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide and over two days will cover 7 of the 12 chapters of the guide, being:

1. Taxation Law
2. Employment Law Part 1: Employment Terms
3. Employment Law Part 2: Holidays and Parental Leave
4. Other types of employee leave
5. Payroll Records and Privacy
6. Other Laws Related to Payroll
7. Calculating a Final Pay

Attendees will receive the NZPPA Payroll Practice Guide (500+ resources) in a folder as the course guide.

END-OF-COURSE ASSESSMENT

As part of this course, participants will complete an hour-long end-of-course assessment based on the course content. This will be done by accessing the NZPPA eLearning environment after the end of the course. Participants will be provided a logon and after completing will be advised of their results.

END OF WORKSHOP CERTIFICATE

All participants will receive a NZPPA Certificate of Attendance. If a participant chooses to have their end-of-module activities assessed, they will receive if successful an “NZPPA Payroll Masterclass Certificate of Competence”

This course in part will help in completing the online assessment requirements for NZPPA Certification to be a recognised payroll professional

We require ten clear business days’ notice of cancellation to allow for a full refund or transfer to another course. Registrations that are cancelled with less than ten business day’s notice will not be eligible for a transfer or refund. Substitute participants are always welcome.
